Occupational Health Company Says Pregnant Women Can Work Safely

Being pregnant is a beautiful gift – but that doesn’t mean it is all roses and sunshine. Being pregnant means having to deal with a whole slew of issues, such as:

• Fatigue
• Increased urination
• Nausea
• Hormonal changes
• More

Being pregnant is not easy, but many women still choose to work while handling the challenges that go along with it. Is this dangerous? Depending on where you work, having a growing fetus in your belly could be dangerous. Many people ask occupational health companies whether women should be working while pregnant and the answer isn’t black and white. Sometimes it is simply – it depends.

Generally most pregnant workers will be safe to perform their job abilities until they need to go on maternity leave. But let’s say a pregnant woman was employed in a position that required her to wear a protective lab coat or outfit of some sort – and it didn’t fit anymore.
